Ceramics Class | Deathly Hallows

One of the first that I have made. So far, so good. I just have to glaze it. I’m planning on making necklaces and selling them, so hopefully by May that will be possible.

This is the first attempt ever at double exposure.

This is only my second semester in ceramics. The first semester was basically a ton of trial and error and just trying to master the basics. I’m still not sure what my approach is. I just stick to simple shapes and try to make the most of them. Some people are really talented, and some people just roll out slabs and glaze them with crystal glaze (which by the way, looks amazing, I wish I had thought to do this). My instructor is so kind, she is never like “Uh, what are you making?”, she is always supportive. She thinks I should make 20 or so of these and mount them on a wall, with the opening facing you, but I’m not sure. It would be cool, but I don’t think I want to make 20 of these.

Don’t ask what this is. Because I couldn’t tell you. 90% of the time I just start building and stop when I think it looks okay. A few people have told me they like it, so that’s good, right?
